ANACORTES – The Bainbridge Island High School varsity sailing team brought home first-place honors from the annual Islands Cup Regatta, held this year in Anacortes on April 11-12.
TACOMA – The Spartans steamrolled their way through Stadium 20-4 to earn their sixth win this season in varsity girls lacrosse.
VANCOUVER, Wash. – Five athletes from the Bainbridge Island Boys’ Gymnastics team battled competitors from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington at Regionals April 11-12 in Vancouver. After stellar performances in highly competitive fields, each of the Bainbridge gymnasts ranked in the top 25 in their level and age groups in the entire region.
BAINBRIDGE – Deahna King was mighty on the mound, at blistering at the bat, as Bainbridge bested West Seattle 7-2 in the first game of a girls softball double-header earlier this week.
PALO ALTO, Calif. – Four Bainbridge High School track athletes traveled to Palo Alto, California with their proud parents and coach Garry Osmond to compete in the renowned Stanford Track and Field Invitational at Stanford’s historic Cobb Field.
BAINBRIDGE – Paige Brigham outscored the entire Snohomish team as the senior standout netted four goals against the combined Snohomish-Glacier Peak team and the Spartans won, 17-3, in girls varsity lacrosse last week.
SEATTLE – The boys varsity soccer team scored a 2-0 shutout win against the Bishop Blanchet Braves on the road.
Prior to their match against Rainier Beach last week, this year’s Spartan squad had given up only two goals throughout this entire season.
Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) escaped with a 9-7 fastpitch softball win over the Bainbridge Spartans after bringing home three crucial sixth-inning runs late last week.
The Bainbridge High varsity boys lacrosse team gave the Metro newcomers from Ballard High a fine how-do-you-do last Wednesday and brought home a 16-4 conference win from the road.
The Eastside Catholic Crusaders maintained their dominant position within the league Tuesday after dispatching the Spartans 14-4 during a lopsided loss at home for the Bainbridge High boys varsity lacrosse team.
The rain may have brought an early end to Monday’s varsity baseball game against the visitors from Bishop Blanchet, but it could not dampen the Spartans’ spirits and they proceeded to cruise through to a 2-0 soggy shut-out win.
