Spartans score historic shutout over Blanchet

SEATTLE - The boys varsity soccer team scored a 2-0 shutout win against the Bishop Blanchet Braves on the road.

SEATTLE – The boys varsity soccer team scored a 2-0 shutout win against the Bishop Blanchet Braves on the road Thursday, April 16.

It was, according to team officials, the first time the team had won at Blanchet in at least five years.

The Spartans scored both of the game’s only goals in the first half and spent the later part of the game holding the Braves to zero.

BHS goals were scored by Glodi Kingombe and Gerrit Mahling.

Anton Easterbrook and Mario Vukic were awarded assists.

The Spartans were slated next to return home and host Franklin High on Tuesday, a match which would begin a series of three home consecutive home matches through Monday, April 27.
