SEATTLE – The first inning told the tale of the Spartans’ recent baseball beating at the hands of the Eastside Catholic Crusaders.
RICHMOND, VIRGINIA – Bainbridge Island is quickly becoming known as a good place to come look for a fight.
MERCER ISLAND – The final in a series of three consecutive non-league matches held on Mercer Island ended with an 18-7 win over the Spartans by Lakeridge High Sunday, March 29.
BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge High boys varsity lacrosse team plowed through the visitors from Kennedy Catholic last week to claim an 11-3 win at the Battle Point Park field.
PORT GAMBLE – The Gear Grinders, Bainbridge Island’s high school-level and middle school-level competitive racing mountain bike team, entered 14 riders in their first statewide competition of the season Saturday, March 29 in Port Gamble and finished the day with three top finishers.
MERCER ISLAND – Visitors from Palo Verde High School left a mark during a non-league varsity boys lacrosse match against the Spartans Saturday, March 28 at Mercer Island High School.
BAINBRIDGE – The Spartans dominated in the 400-meter run and high jump in boys track, and in the 1600-meter run and 4×400 relay in girls track, during their home meet late last week against West Seattle and Roosevelt.
SEATTLE – Bainbridge picked up its first win of the girls varsity fastpitch season with a well-deserved win over Chief Sealth at Southwest Athletic Complex on March 30.
BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge Island Rope Skippers hosted their annual Invitational Tournament earlier this month; it was the first jump rope event of the competitive season.
MERCER ISLAND – The Bainbridge High varsity boys lacrosse team claimed a decisive 11-7 win over Centennial High Friday, March 27 during a match held at Islander Middle School on Mercer Island.
SILVERDALE – Bainbridge banged out an early 7-1 lead over Central Kitsap late last week in girls varsity fastpitch softball, but a three-run rally by the Cougars in the seventh saddled the Spartans with their second loss of the season as CK went on to win, 11-10.
SEATTLE – Bainbridge High School sailors left their mark at the recent Sail Sand Point Regatta on Lake Washington. More than 170 sailors from 24 regional high schools competed in the event.
SEATTLE – The Spartans’ girls fastpitch game against West Seattle on March 31 was suspended in the fourth inning due to weather (lightning and rain).
