SEATTLE – There can be only one.

That’s true of immortal warriors in iconic ‘80s movies, and also high school golf teams when two undefeated squads meet on the green.

So it was on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at the Jefferson Park Golf Club that the Bainbridge High varsity girls golf team suffered their first loss of the season against Seattle Preparatory, who had also been so-far undefeated.

The final match score was 102-88.

It was, according to BHS Head Coach Ian Havill, only the team’s second loss in five years.

Kiera Havill was the team’s points leader, finishing the day with 24.

Taylor Tye managed 23 points, team captain Claire Lunzer chipped in 21 and Grace Nelson contributed 20 points.
