Three Bainbridge parks commissioners to be on November ballot

All three Bainbridge Island parks commissioners who have terms that end this year have filed to run as candidates in the November election.

All three Bainbridge Island parks commissioners who have terms that end this year have filed to run as candidates in the November election.

Commissioner Jay Kinney filed as a candidate Tuesday for the Position 4 seat on the board for the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District.

Kinney is seeking election to a two-year, unexpired term.

Fellow Commissioner Lee Cross also filed as a candidate late Monday.

She is running for a six-year term in Position 1.

Also on November’s ballot: Commissioner John “Tom” Swolgaard.

Swolgaard was elected to the board in November 2001, and began his first term in January 2002. He is running for Position 3, which also carries a six-year term.
