Ovation! Performing Arts Northwest will hold auditions for the role of Sandy (Annie’s beloved canine companion) at noon on Sunday, Oct. 23 at their Bainbridge Island studio.

Sandy will appear in Ovation!’s production of the famed family musical “Annie,” coming to the stage Dec. 2 through Dec. 18.

“I am looking for the world’s most laidback dog who responds to simple commands and won’t be distracted by a lot of people, noise, movement and lights,” said Ron Milton, director of the production. “I don’t believe in typecasting, so any breed, any size, is welcome to audition.”

Dogs must be on leash for the audition, be fixed and have up-to-date vaccinations. They must also be available — with their handler — for necessary rehearsals and all performances.

Email info@ovationmtb.com to sign up for the audition. Show information is available at www.ovationmtb.com.
