Spartans are Academic State Champions

Two teams at Bainbridge High have been named Academic State Champions for the 2017-18 fall sports season by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.

The Scholastic Awards Program recognizes the team with the highest grade point average among all Washington high schools in their enrollment classification.

The Bainbridge High boys cross country team was named Academic State Champions for 2017-18. The team, coached by Anne Howard-Lindquist, has 10 members and had a collective grade point average of 3.903.

The Bainbridge High girls swimming and diving team also earned honors as Academic State Champions for the 2017-18 fall sports season.

The team has 23 members and is coached by Sarah Bullock. The swim team had a collective GPA of 3.865.
