SEATTLE – Nine members of the Bainbridge High School track & field team will advance to compete in the state tournament in Tacoma next week, having fought — and run and jumped — their way through the recent district meet at Chief Sealth High School.

The stellar Spartans are: Sarah Lucioni (high jump), Cole Brundige (400-meters), Wyatt Longley (400-meters), Emma Brundige (400-meters), Anna Scott (800-meters), the boys 4×400 relay team of Cole Brundige, Evan Kimmerlein, Carlo Rugiero, Wyatt Longley, Carter Hall and Kyle Hammer, and the girls 4×400 relay team of Kenzie Korican, Liz Messinger, Emma Brundige, Anna Scott, Hannah Tonsmann and Julia Brooks.

The coed 3A state track and field tournament will take place Thursday, May 25 through Saturday, May 27 at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma.
