BHS boys jump out front in debut

Sal Iaria and Jack Frickleton both scored hat tricks in Saturday’s lacrosse season opener against Tahoma, leading the Spartans to the first win of the year.

BAINBRIDGE – Sal Iaria and Jack Frickleton both scored hat tricks in Saturday’s lacrosse season opener against Tahoma, leading the Spartans to the first win of the year.

The final score was 14-12.

The Bainbridge team led throughout much of the non-league contest, quickly regaining the advantage each time the guests managed to sneak slightly ahead.

Ben Biggers and Devon Turner each managed two goals for BHS, with Biggers chipping in two assists and Tuner racking up nine ground balls as well.

Aidan Carlisle, Lucas Pedersen, Nate Constan and Nate Marx each put one in the net, and Pedersen tallied a whopping 10 ground balls throughout the night.

Charlie Shrout managed five saves for the Spartans, ensuring the team’s lead.
