Spartans tame Panthers in LAX

SNOHOMISH — The Spartans slipped past Snohomish 14-11 in girls varsity lacrosse Wednesday at Glacier Peak High.

MacKenzie Chapman led a balanced Bainbridge attack with four goals and three assists.

Kiera Havill was also outstanding on the field, with four goals and an assist.

Sophia Hagstromer finished with a hat trick and added an assist to her three scores. Karsen Sahleen and Robin Hilderman had one goal and one assist each, while Amy Willerford contributed one goal to the big BHS win.

Bainbridge goalie Thuy Lan Ortiz had seven saves.

On the Snohomish side, the scorers were Natalie Church (three goals), Hannah Graves, Anabel Ohsman and Aenne Thom (two goals each), and Jordan Vaughn and Bethany Shade (one goal each).

Panther goalie Shelby Sawyer had seven saves in the first half, while Holly Smith had two saves in the second half.
