BHS boys earn second LAX win

Freshman Merrit McMahon’s three goals led the Bainbridge High boys varsity lacrosse team to its second consecutive win in as many games, an 11–9 defeat against North Kitsap, Tuesday, March 15 at Strawberry Field in Poulsbo.

POULSBO – Freshman Merrit McMahon’s three goals led the Bainbridge High boys varsity lacrosse team to its second consecutive win in as many games, an 11–9 defeat against North Kitsap, Tuesday, March 15 at Strawberry Field in Poulsbo.

The young attackman’s three goals — and one assist and 13 ground balls — in the contest helped lead the Bainbridge team to its best start since 2011.

Nicky Burns managed two goals and two ground balls as well for BHS, and Cole Emerson, Max McLeod, Foster Mercurio, Nate Constan and Randy Shrout each scored one goal.

Charlie Shrout racked up eight saves in the net.
