Richard E. Chambers, age 87

      Richard (Ted) E. Chambers died on December 19, 2011, in Bremerton. He was born May 9, 1924, in Prairie City, OR. Ted served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1945. On Nov. 13, 1943, he married his wife of 63 years, Kathlyn Mary Black, in Goldendale, WA. Ted served as a high school teacher and principle from 1952 through his retirement at Bainbridge High School in 1979.

      A memorial service to honor his life will be held on Feb. 18, at 2pm at the Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church on Bainbridge Island with the Rev. Mary Robinson-Mohr presiding.
