JoAnne B. Bodner, age 63,

JoAnne B. Bodner died peacefully at her home surrounded by family following a four-month battle with cancer.

JoAnne was born Jan. 6, 1947, in Renton, to John and Helen Bialek.

She graduated from Issaquah High School and Green River Community College where she met her future husband, Tim. She graduated from Central Washington College in 1969 with a teaching degree. JoAnne and Tim were married in 1968 celebrating 42 years of marriage this June. She spent 23 years teaching at the Poulsbo Middle School.

She is survived by her husband Tim; three sons Charles T. Bodner (Manuela), Karl R. Bodner (Sandy) and Christopher L. Bodner; and granddaughter Ashley Bodner.

JoAnne was buried beside Tim’s parents in Washington Memorial Park on Oct. 15. A Celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 23 at The First Lutheran Church in Poulsbo. All who knew her are invited. An online guestbook is at www.cookfamilyfuneralhome.com.
