All women are invited to attend Savvy Women Exchanging Relevant Views to hear research associate Karen Bauer speak on “Interpreting Women’s Roles in the Qur’an.”

Bauer, who was raised on the island, is an academic researcher, author and teacher based in London, England at the Institute of Ismaili Studies. She will focus on fairness, justice and change over time as she explores why women do not have the same rights as men in many Muslim-majority countries.
