Mike Spence continues to outdistance himself from Dale Perry in the race for the District 2 seat on the Bainbridge Island School Board.

The Kitsap County Elections Division counted another 1,650 ballots in the District 2 race on Thursday.

Spence’s advantage has risen a bit to 57.2 percent of the vote in the latest tally, up from Wednesday’s count that showed him with 56.9 percent of the vote, and Election Night’s standing of 56.8 percent.

Perry has 42.5 percent of the vote in Thursday’s count.

Spence, the only incumbent who faced a challenger in all of the Bainbridge races in this year’s General Election, is on track for a second term on the Bainbridge school board. He currently serves as president of the board.

Thursday’s tally gave Spence 4,066 votes, and Perry, 3,019.

The incumbent led by 616 votes on Election Night, and by 770 in Wednesday’s count. Spence is now ahead by 1,047 votes.
