Bainbridge Police reported the following incidents:

JUNE 26

2:19 p.m. An employee of Town and Country turned in a a black and red Royce Union BMX bicyle that was left at the store.

5:50 p.m. A Bainbridge man said a rearview mirror had been broken off his vehicle while it was parked at the Bethany Lutheran Church park-and-ride. He said he returned to the park-and-ride after work and found that the passenger side mirror had been broken off his car and that there was slight damage to the passenger door where it appeared the mirror had been kicked or pushed backwards. The man said two young males were in the vicinity with the mirror. He asked them if they knew how the damage had happened. They said they had just found the mirror on the gound and denied having broken it. The case was recorded.

8:24 p.m. Police responded to a Country Club Road residence where a woman showed officers several outside doors that she said had been jimmied. The woman believed a nephew had been breaking into her home and damaging furniture with a knife. Damage in the home appeared minor. Police had responded to the home six times since June 16. The nephew was contacted and denied having been in the home.

10:40 p.m. A Cherry Lane resident reported that two barking dogs were running in and out of an open door of her neighbor’s house, and that loud music was playing inside. An officer rang the doorbell of the neighbor’s house six or seven times with no answer. The officer entered the residence and noted several doors were open and a fan in the living room was going full blast. A second officer arrived and assisted in searching the home, but no one was found inside. They turned the music down and cleared the residence.

JUNE 27

4:00 p.m. A juvenile bicyclist was hospitalized with minor injuries after colliding with a Chevy Tahoe on Parkview Drive. The bicycle was southbound on Hilltop Drive and failed to stop for a stop sign. It struck the fender of the Tahoe, which was eastbound on Parkview Drive. The juvenile was wearing a helmet but suffered lacerations to his face. The driver of the Tahoe was cited for expired license plates.

10:32 p.m. A muffler fell off a vehicle offloading from a ferry, and was run over by the car behind. The muffler became jammed underneath the car and a jack was used to dislodge it. The unmuffled vehicle did not stop.

10:50 p.m. A Mitsubishi Eclipse entering the Safeway parking lot collided with a Toyota exiting the lot. The driver of the Eclipse said the car’s brakes had failed. The collision damaged the Eclipse’s bumper and hood.

JUNE 28

5:24 p.m. A Silverdale driver advised police that she had hit a deer on Koura Road and that the deer was still alive. Officers responded and found the deer breathing but paralyzed from injuries to its hindquarters. An officer dispatched the deer with a rifle. There was no reportable damage to the vehicle.

9:33 p.m. A Chevy Malibu motoring northbound on SR-305 collided with a deer that jumped into the roadway at the intersection of Lovgreen Road. The deer was killed.
