Friends of the Farms’ recent Farm to Table Dinner was a true community collaboration of farmers, business owners and volunteers who gathered to celebrate the bounty of our local harvest.

Special thanks goes to Jeff Shepherd from Blackbird Bakery, Jeff Waite from Harbour Public House and Mike Hale of Hales Ales for their unwavering and continued support.

Additional thanks goes to Cafe Nola, Harbor Square Wine Shop & Tasting Room, Hitchcock, Paulson Farms, Pegasus, Restaurant Marché, Pane d’ Amore, Simply Bainbridge, Soup’r Burger, Streamliner Diner and San Carlos. Others who donated were Bainbridge Organic Distillers, Fletcher Bay Winery, Perennial Vintners, Persephone Farms, Rolling Bay Winery and Victor Alexander.

We were showered by folks who generously gave their time, talent and materials including Bobbie Morgan, Ginny Brewer, the dynamic team of Bruce and Dawn White, Rick Gordon, Dana Berg, Tom McCloskey, Omar, Ole Prahm, Betty Petras, Ginnilynn Hawkins, Jeff Jensen, Regina Spoor and Diane Landry, Israel and Robin Gaphne, Jay and Sharon Strauss, Natalie and Mikelle Ackerley and their friends, Russell Lawson, Paul D’Agnolo and Sadie Bouregard, Bainbridge Island Public Works, Butler Green Farms, Randy Kan, Bainbridge Island Arts & Humanities Council, Susan Croft, Bainbridge Island Land Trust, Hanson Roberts, Thriftway, Bainbridge Island Little League, Zero Waste and Bainbridge Island Disposal.

The Farm to Table Dinner raised more than $10,000. With everyone’s generosity and commitment to Friends of the Farms, the proceeds will be used immediately to preserve and enhance local farming while promoting sustainable farming practices on public and private land, connecting landowners to farmers and providing affordable housing to new farmers.
