To the editor:

Since 1981 we have spent most of our time on Bainbridge Island.

One consistency we have appreciated is the drive to preserve open space while at the same time opening it to the public for recreational purposes.

The Bainbridge Island Land Trust has played an important role in this endeavor and the Hilltop project is an outstanding example of their efforts. It connects the Grand Forest West with the Grand Forest East making it into one continuous trail. The trail has a variety of terrain and landscapes that can be enjoyed by hikers of all abilities.

Please support the land trust’s efforts as they strive to meet the funding needs to complete this project.
