Make connection

To the editor:

The recent article in the BI Review about the removal of the structure at Ericksen and Wallace Way got me thinking about the downtown to High School Road (dis)connection again.

With the proposed Madison Avenue Non-Motorized and Sewer Improvements project causing a major disruption in traffic, it seems now would be the perfect time to revisit the land donor’s original intent and make that connection a reality.

As an east Winslow resident, I already use Ericksen and Wallace to continue northbound on Madison, thus avoiding the downtown Winslow logjam. I’m sure I’m not the only one, so why not make the connection official?
