The raffle is the museum’s largest annual fundraiser.

This year 3,080 tickets were sold. The record for the most tickets ever sold is 3,200, set several years ago, museum officials said.

Island resident Sue Morton was the first-place winner and claimed the $5,000 grand prize.

The news was a nice pick-me-up for Morton, museum officials said. She was informed of her good fortune via a phone call immediately after the drawing, while she was on her way to the dentist.

The winner of the second-place prize, a GoPro Hero4, was John Burridge.

The third place prize, a Fitbit Charge HR, was claimed by Bruce Alward.
