Friday, July 19

11:20 a.m. A driver on Highway 305 called 911 after gravel flew from a work truck and struck his car, cracking the windshield. The truck driver was cited for dropping materials on the road.

Saturday, July 20

1:26 a.m. Police pulled over a vehicle on Highway 305 after observing the driver swerve out of the lane and follow another car too closely. The driver said he did not have anything to drink, but the officer smelled alcohol on him. The driver then failed roadside sobriety tests and refused to submit a breath sample. A passenger was in the car with the driver. The passenger owned the car and also had a protection order against the driver. The driver was arrested for drunk driving and for violating a protection order. He later admitted to drinking beer before driving. Police also found a small amount of marijuana and a bottle of liquor in the car.

Thursday, July 25

11:42 a.m. An unlocked bicycle was stolen from a residence on Madison Avenue.

9:35 p.m. Police responded to reports of a loud fight between a couple living on Lynwood Center Road. The couple had been drinking and appeared embarrassed that the cops were called. Police left the scene.

Friday, July 26

1:22 a.m. A man working a graveyard shift at an Ericksen Avenue business reported that two intoxicated young men broke into the building overnight. He confronted the two men who then quickly fled. The man believed the suspects entered through an open window. Police searched the area but could not locate the pair.
