To the editor:

The Lynwood Community Market, a nonprofit corporation, would like to publicly thank both Bainbridge Organic Distillers and Walt’s Market for donating items for the market to raffle to raise money for a playground in conjunction with the Bainbridge Island Metro Park & Recreation District.

We have raised approximately $2,700 toward the market’s stated goal of raising $5,000 by Oct. 13, 2013, the last market day of 2013.

We would like to invite the community to come to the market and help support our efforts toward the playground and also the market vendors who have been faithfully plying their wares every Sunday in the Lynwood Commons parking lot across from the new Pleasant Beach shops.

Again, we would like to thank all the people who have bought raffle tickets and made donations toward the future Lynwood Community Playground at Schel Chelb Park. All donations are tax-deductible.
