SATURDAY, AUG. 8

2:24 a.m. A 38-year-old Bainbridge man in a 2010 Jeep Wrangler was driving south on Highway 305 near Agatewood Road when he fell asleep.

His vehicle went off the road and into a ditch filled with heavy brush. The Jeep flipped over, but the driver was not hurt and was able to get out of the vehicle.

FRIDAY, AUG. 7

8:02 a.m. A 45-year-old Kingston woman in a 2002 Chevrolet was driving south on Highway 305 near Vineyard Lane when she hit a deer.

The vehicle sustained front-end damage on the driver’s side. The woman was not hurt.

A passerby told the driver the deer stoop up and ran away.

4:15 p.m. A Bainbridge officer reported the loss of a body camera sometime between May 14 and June 4. He had last seen it when it was placed in a charger at the end of his shift.

4:40 p.m. An 18-year-old Bainbridge Island man lost his wallet. It fell from his backpack as he rode his bike near Safeway, Sportsman Club Road and Madison Avenue North. He was not certain exactly where it fell out.

The wallet contained, among other things, one debit card. Police advised the man cancel the card immediately.
