Monday, March 23

1:13 p.m. A 21-year-old Poulsbo man was driving north on Highway 305 when his 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt rear-ended a 2005 Ford Explorer driven by a 55-year-old Bainbridge woman.

The driver said he looked down for a quick second, but when he looked back up, the vehicle in front of him had slowed for traffic.

The woman was taken to the hospital with neck and back injuries. The Ford sustained rear bumper and body damage; the Chevy had front-end damage.

1:48 p.m. A 17-year-old Bainbridge woman was driving north on Highway 305 when her Chevy Tahoe suddenly veered off the highway and hit a tree.

The driver said she was not driving fast, but the vehicle just went off the road.

A witness said she saw the driver turn from Madison Avenue onto the highway, and said it was very strange how the vehicle just went sideways off the road.

The Chevy had damage to its front end and passenger side.

Wednesday, March 18

6:58 p.m. A juvenile girl was found walking in the road with her face completely covered in blood on Beach Crest Drive. She was wearing a bike helmet and was very disoriented and not fully aware of her surroundings.

A witness said she flipped over her handle bars while biking down the hill on Beach Crest and was trying to walk home. Police found the bike and a very large amount of blood on the street near the bike. She was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of significant facial injuries and head trauma.
