The historic Lynwood Theatre has announced “Live At The Lynwood,” a series of live musical concerts scheduled quarterly with the first show set for Monday, Oct. 6.

Headlining this first concert will be Grammy Award-nominated Maria Muldaur, best known for her world-wide 1974 mega-hit, “Midnight At The Oasis.”

The live concert series, co-sponsored by the Pleasant Beach Village, offers an intimate venue where the audience has a bird’s eye view from practically any seat in the house. Supplemental lighting and sound will be installed for each show as the theater takes a one night break from showing movies on each concert date.

Jeff Brein, co-owner of the Historic Lynwood Theater, said he is confident that live shows will be well-received by local audiences.

“Our goal is to present popular, classical and internationally known entertainers close to home while eliminating the hassle of ferry schedules, late nights out and high ticket prices. Ticket packages will also be available through our partnership with the folks at Pleasant Beach offering dinners, wine receptions and more”, Brein said.

General admission tickets for Maria Muldaur’s performance can be purchased at the historic Lynwood Theater in advance or online at www.farawayentertainment.com (Lynwood Theater page).

General admission tickets are $40. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.
