Washington State Ferries is reminding travelers on the Bainbridge Island-Seattle ferry route that they won't have much time to catch a boat after the big ball drops on Dec. 31.

Washington State Ferries is reminding travelers on the Bainbridge Island-Seattle ferry route that they won’t have much time to catch a boat after the big ball drops on Dec. 31.

The last New Year’s Eve sailing from Bainbridge Island will be at 12:55 a.m. Friday, Jan. 1, and the last ferry from Seattle to the island will be at 1:35 a.m. Friday.

And should auld timetables be forgot: The holiday schedule begins with the 5:20 a.m. sailing from Bainbridge and the 6:10 a.m. sailing from Seattle on Jan. 1.
