BHS’ annual ‘Winter One Acts’ retakes the stage

The theme of the 2017 Bainbridge High School Winter One Act play festival is “Winter Wonderland.”

The annual stage sensation — student-written, produced, acted and decorated — is set to return to the high school large group instruction room at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 2 and Feb. 9; Fridays, Feb. 3 and Feb. 10; and Saturdays, Feb. 4 and Feb. 11.

Tickets will be available at the door. The cost is $8 for students and $10 for adults.

“This year we have seven original student plays, and eight entr’actes, including music, improv and tap dancing,” said Karen Polinsky, the program’s faculty advisor.

Student directors for the 2107 lineup include Josie Davis, Rory Schulte, Maddy Garfunkel and Julia Fradkin.

The playlist includes: “Ice Queens” by Elizabeth Rolfes, “Les Cats” by Henry Bacon, “Fleischmesser” by Jack Bleakmore, “The Proposal” by Lizzi Nigash, “The Night” by Andrew Beckett, “Neighbors to the North” by Ethan Glaze and “Peggy Margaret” by Lauren Wallach and Tori Konig.
