Bainbridge Island Garden Club gathers for presentation on Great Peninsula conservation

The Bainbridge Island Garden Club will hold its next monthly meeting at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9 at First Baptist Church.

The Bainbridge Island Garden Club will hold its next monthly meeting at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9 at First Baptist Church.

The topic of the meeting program will be “Conserving the lands and waters of the Great Peninsula.” It will be presented by Sandra Staples-Bortner, executive director of Great Peninsula Conservancy, an organization that strives to protect natural habitats, rural landscapes and community green spaces across the Great Peninsula between Hood Canal and Puget Sound.

All are welcome. First Baptist Church is at Highway 305 and Madison Avenue.
