Much time, effort, and no doubt money, have been expended with the results that we have now banned plastic bags and are bent on telling many homeowners their properly built and placed residences may be categorized as “non-conforming.” This last judgment potentially could cause immense economic and other problems.

If these two areas are of such concern, why, then, have the regulatory powers failed to ban tobacco as well?

After all, the statistics of cancer and death caused by tobacco are indeed well-known around the world, and these terrible problems assault human beings, including very young people.

So the legitimate question, if we are undertaking major policies that do impact many people, why do we not take the opportunity to place tobacco on the docket for a ban and for something that definitely does not “conform” to any known health requirement?
