When Bainbridge friends ask me which of the four county assessor candidates I recommend, I’m always happy to suggest Paul Andrews.

From my lengthy conversations with Paul, I hear a focus on integrity, fairness, impartiality, professionalism and transparency. Those traits are important for the role of fairly determining our property values.

Paul is a life-long Washington resident and has been local to Kitsap for decades. He knows the real estate in our locale and, as a technology professional, he has for 19 years provided system tools, information and support to the Kitsap County tax assessor’s office.

For a county office that needs to work on a very tight budget with limited staff, Paul has years of experience providing the computing systems and tools to achieve cost savings and stay on budget. His data system skills enable him to focus on accuracy and fairness.

I like Paul’s genuine openness. He’s both a good listener and good at explaining Washington’s unique property valuation and tax rules.

I’m voting for Paul Andrews for County Assessor and I hope you will too.
