Islanders earn degrees in Utah

Five students from Bainbridge Island have been awarded degrees at the University of Utah.

The newly minted Bainbridge graduates are:

Nora Lang, bachelor of fine arts in modern dance;

Ali Lorenz, bachelor of fine arts in modern dance;

Eric Raustein, master of science in sports medicine;

Natalie Vukic, bachelor of fine arts in art; and

Shayla Archer, master of science in health promotion and education.

According to the university, a total of 8,465 students received their academic degrees on May 2, 2019.

The University of Utah, located in Salt Lake City in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains, is the flagship institution of higher learning in Utah. Founded in 1850, it serves over 31,000 students from across the U.S. and the world.
