Shadow and Larue are this week’s adoptable pets.

For adoption through PAWS:

Shadow is a 13-year-old shorthaired all-black female who came in when her owner died.

She has lived with an elderly person in a quiet home and is looking for a similar place now.

Shadow is at the PAWS Pleasant Beach adoption center (open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday).

For adoption through Kitsap Humane Society:

Adopt Larue! Larue is a 3-year-old petite Pit-Lab mix who is very eager to please and loves being with people.

Larue enjoys playing fetch, going for walks and seems OK with other dogs and cats!
