Bainbridge death appears to be suicide

Bainbridge Police Chief Matthew Hamner said Monday’s investigation of the death of a Bainbridge woman has come to the conclusion that the woman apparently took her own life.

“After a thorough look at the scene and what we were able to find, it appears to us to be a suicide,” Hamner said Tuesday.

The official cause of death will come after a coroner’s examination later this week, he said.

Police have not released the name of the woman.
