Civil Service Commission announces special meeting

The Bainbridge Island Civil Service Commission will have a special meeting from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 7 at City Hall in the council conference room.

The Civil Service Commission is charged with ensuring hiring examination processes for the police department are open and competitive at entry and promotional levels. The commission adopts rules and regulations for the police department‘s civil service employees. The commission also handles appeals related to testing and to those involving employee discipline.

An agenda for Tuesday’s meeting will be available on the city’s website the day before.
