Bainbridge ward meetings coming up soon

The Bainbridge Island City Council is planning a series of council ward meetings in January.

City officials note that ward meetings give residents a chance to talk with elected officials about issues of neighborhood importance, as well as wider issues of broader community importance. Ward meetings provide a more informal setting than a regular council business meeting, so the gatherings allow for more of a conversation between community members and council members.

Mayor Kol Medina, Councilman Joe Deets and Councilman Ron Peltier will host a North Ward meeting from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 12 at Seabold Hall.

Deputy Mayor Leslie Schneider, Councilwoman Rasham Nassar and Peltier will host the Central Ward meeting from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 19 at Bainbridge Island City Hall.

The South Ward meeting — with Councilwoman Sarah Blossom, Councilman Matt Tirman and Peltier — is 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 26 at Island Center Hall.
