BIPD patrolling island for distracted drivers

The BIPD will be conducting traffic emphasis patrols focused on speeding and distracted driving today from noon to 4 p.m.

Patrols will be at various locations, but officers will focus on areas where residents have asked for extra patrols. Today’s activities are part of a larger emphasis being conducted across Kitsap County, including participation from the Washington State Patrol.
