BIMA to host live nude drawing sessions

Drawing directly from the human figure is a wonderful way to hone technical and creative drawing skills while exploring variations in lighting, poses and settings.

To that end, the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art is hosting “GO Figure,” an ongoing series of drawing sessions facilitated by artist Emily Browne for artists looking to advance their craft and technique in capturing the human form.

The life-drawing studio is open to anyone interested in working from the nude model, regardless of experience level.

The cost to attend a single drop-in session is $20. A five-session package is $90, a 10-session package $160.

Participants provide their own drawing paper and pencils, though some drawing media will be provided.

Visit www.biartmuseum.org/calendar/go-figure-life-drawing-sessions for more information.

Sessions take place in the art classroom on the second floor, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, Oct. 25 through Dec. 13.
