Play ball! The week in Spartans sports starts with the Bainbridge girls varsity fastpitch team hosting Port Angeles on Monday, March 23 at BHS.

The first pitch is at 3:30 p.m. The junior varsity game will follow the varsity game.

Also at home Monday, the Bainbridge varsity boys baseball team takes the field against Nathan Hale. Game time is 4 p.m.

The Spartan boys JV baseball team will play Nathan Hale on Field 1 at Meadowbrook Playfield in Seattle; game time is 2:30 p.m.

Will the rain hold off? BHS expects to know if the ballgames will go forward by noon Monday for the girls game and 1 p.m. for the boys.

In rain or shine sports, the BHS boys soccer team travels to Seattle for a match against Ingraham at Northwest Athletic Complex at 3:30 p.m. Monday.

The JV boys soccer game is also against the Rams in Seattle, on Field 2 at Lower Woodland Park.

Also Monday, the Spartan girls water polo team will travel to Bellevue to face Newport. The game is at 4:45 p.m. at Newport Hills Swim & Tennis Club.

The Spartan varsity girls lacrosse team heads to Burien for a 7:30 p.m. Monday matchup against SW Seattle at Mosier Field.

On Tuesday, March 24, the JV BHS tennis team plays host to Roosevelt. Play starts at 3:30 p.m.

The varsity tennis team is in Seattle to face Roosevelt. Action begins at 3:30 p.m. at Lower Woodland Tennis Courts.

Also on the road Tuesday is the Spartan boys baseball C team, for a game against Central Kitsap. The first pitch is 4 p.m.

On Wednesday, March 25, the Spartan girls water polo team has its first home game of the season. BHS will square off against Shorewood at 3:50 p.m. at the Bainbridge Aquatic Center.

The JV boys baseball team is also at home Wednesday for a game against Garfield. The game starts at 4 p.m.

The Bainbridge girls lacrosse team returns home Wednesday for a 7:45 p.m. game against Holy Names.

The varsity boys lacrosse team is also on the Rock for a varsity game Wednesday, but Bainbridge will host Kennedy Catholic at Battle Point Park. Game time is 7 p.m.

Both boys soccer squads and the baseball team are on the road Wednesday.

The JV and varsity soccer teams take on Garfield at Memorial Stadium in Seattle. The JV game is at 3:30 p.m. and the varsity battle follows at 5:30 p.m.

The Spartan varsity baseball team will also challenge the Bulldogs at Garfield High. The first pitch is at 3:45 p.m.

On Thursday, March 25, Bainbridge High hosts a track meet at Bainbridge Memorial Stadium with Roosevelt and West Seattle. The meet gets underway at 3:30 p.m.

The Spartan fastpitch team is on the road Thursday for a 4 p.m. game against Central Kitsap.

On Friday, March 27, the Spartan girls water polo team hosts Kentridge at the Bainbridge Aquatic Center. The contest starts at 3:50 p.m.

Bainbridge welcomes Garfield for a varsity boys baseball game on the BHS field at 4 p.m.

Also at home: the boys varsity soccer team. The Spartans welcome Bishop Blanchet in a match that starts at 6 p.m. The JV team plays the Braves at 4 p.m.

The boys lacrosse team is also scheduled to play in a home varsity/JV tournament against Centennial, with action starting at 6 p.m.

The Spartan C team in boys soccer will play South Kitsap on the road, with a 3:30 p.m. start Friday.

On Saturday, March 28, the Spartan boys baseball C team meets North Kitsap for a double-header in Poulsbo that starts at noon.

Spartan boys lacrosse will be at Mercer Island for a JV/varsity tournament that starts at 4 p.m. with Palo Verde as the visiting team. The tournament continues Sunday at 2 p.m. with Lakeridge as the away team.

The Bainbridge track team will be at Edmonds Stadium for the Terrace Relays, a varsity invitational, on Saturday that kicks off at 9:30 a.m.
