Bainbridge goes off the deep end as this week in Spartan sports begins Tuesday, Jan. 20.

The Bainbridge boys swim team hosts a meet with visiting Lakeside. The meet gets started at 3:30 p.m. at the Bainbridge Aquatics Center.

Also Tuesday, the Spartans welcome Chief Sealth to the Rock for a Metro League boys basketball matchup.

Hoops action gets underway at 5:15 with the junior varsity and C team games. The varsity game starts at 7 p.m. in Paski Gymnasium.

On Wednesday, Jan. 21, the Spartan girls basketball teams play against Chief Sealth in Paski Gymnasium. The JV game is at 5:15, followed by the varsity contest at 7 p.m.

On Thursday, Jan. 22, the Spartan wrestling team travels to Bishop Blanchet for a varsity quad meet that also features West Seattle and Rainier Beach. The meet starts at 6 p.m.

On Friday, the Spartan boys swim team has its second home meet of the week. This time, it’s against Ballard. The meet starts at 3:30 p.m. at the Bainbridge Aquatics Center.

Both BHS boys and girls basketball teams catch the boat to Seattle Friday.

Both boys and girls basketball teams play Rainier Beach, with the JV girls game scheduled for a 3:15 p.m. start. The Spartan JV boys take to the court at 4:45 p.m.

The Spartan girls play first in a varsity double-header against the Vikings, which starts at 6:15 followed by the boys’ tipoff at 8 p.m.

The week in Spartan sports wraps up Saturday, Jan. 24 with Bainbridge varsity grapplers traveling to Lakes High in Tacoma for the End of Days Tournament.

The Spartan boys C basketball team is scheduled to play Rainier Beach at Ingraham High. Game time is noon Saturday.
