The broom came out early in the Spartans’ new season of varsity volleyball.

Bainbridge High swept Olympic High School in three games in the Spartans’ debut Wednesday, Sept. 9 at Kitsap Pavilion.

BHS won 25-17, 25-16 and 25-6.

Riley Kulfan led the Spartans with eight kills, while Maggie Sweeney, Mary Burgess and Sydney Maria all added six kills each.

Erica Sprott had 37 assists and Kate Merifield had 17 digs for Bainbridge.
