Bainbridge golf had one of its toughest matches yet against Port Angeles April 19 at Wing Point Golf & Country Club.
The boys team squeezed past the Roughriders 166-178.
Andrew Jobes made the leap to the second Spartan golfer and proved he deserved it. Jobes had the best score with a 38 through the nine holes. Dane Byers and Andrew Grinter were four strokes behind at 42, and Ryan Sturham was the fourth golfer to score with a 44.
Spartan Rylan Libes also scored a 44, and Erik Falrey finished with a 50. Port Angeles’ top boys golfer was ace Edun Baily with a 42.
On the girls side, the Spartans won 179-217. Seniors Elise Walters finished even with a 36 and Hailey Fink shot a career-best 42 through the nine holes. Mae Wysong finished third with a 48, and Grace Charintranont rounded out the Spartans with a 53.
The Roughriders’ top girls golfer was Piper Williams with a 52.
