BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge High varsity boys golf team continued their flawless season streak last Thursday with a 136-121 win over the visitors from Bishop Blanchet.

It was the island squad’s third straight home match and their fourth straight win of the year, earning for them a 4-0 overall season record.

The team was playing very well so far, said Spartan Head Coach Austin Hurt, but did have an obvious advantage on their home course at Wing Point Golf & Country Club.

The true test, the coach admitted, would come later in the season as the Spartans’ schedule switched to more frequent road matches.

Andy Becker and Thomas Crowley were at the forefront of the Spartan scoring machine. They both finished with a score of 38 (24 points) on the Par 35 course.

Brooks Wallace managed to score 23 points and both Garrett Aichele and Colin Campbell put up 22.

Tad Grindeland finished with 21 points, Brooks Lierle was at 20 and Matt Spence managed 14.
