SEATTLE –  The Bainbridge Spartans slipped by Seattle Prep in a dramatic come-from-behind victory in girls fastpitch to stay alive in the SeaKing District 3A Softball Tournament.

Bainbridge peppered Prep with four runs in the top of the seventh inning to win 5-2 in the loser-out game at the Southeast Athletic Complex.

The Spartans were led by Megan Spray, who smacked a two-run double in the game, and an outstanding pitching performance by Sara Colley.

Bainbridge came into the tourney as the seventh seed after dispatching Garfield 12-2 late last week.

In the Spartans’ second game in the district tournament, Bainbridge fell to No. 1 seed West Seattle 4-0.

Bainbridge was scheduled to play again in a loser-out game against Holy Names on May 19.
