Spartans rout Raiders in fastpitch

Nathan Hale can’t spy a win over BHS in girls softball.

SEATTLE – The Spartans routed the Raiders in girls varsity fastpitch softball last week, drubbing Nathan Hale 16-1 in five innings.

The contest was close for one inning; the first. Bainbridge jumped up 2-0, but Nathan Hale cut the Spartan advantage in half after bagging a run.

The Spartans began to pull away with a four-run second inning, then added another five runs in the third to forge an 11-1 lead.

Bainbridge continued its hit parade into the next two innings while keeping the Raiders scoreless.

Sara Colley picked up another win on the mound for BHS.

She was also perfect at the plate with 3-for-3 batting, a triple and six RBIs.

Maddie Loverich went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, while Morgan Lassoff went 1-for-2, with a triple and three RBIs.

Bainbridge improved to 6-5 (3-2 Metro League) with the victory.
