Spartan wrestlers take third at Metro tourney, seven advance to regionals

Seven Spartans will advance to regionals after winning big at the Metro League wrestling tournament.

Seven Spartans will advance to regionals after winning big at the Metro League wrestling tournament.

Bainbridge finished in third place overall.

Five Bainbridge athletes had first-place finishes; Jonathan Gallivan (126-pound class), Jack Miller (138), Liam Topham (145), Dylan Read (152) and Joaquin Gurza (160).

Mike Grant (182) and Aaron Jumpa (152) placed third for the Spartans in their respective classes and will also advance to regionals.
