Spartan boys clip Crusaders in season golf opener

The Bainbridge High boys varsity golf team edged out their first opponent of the season Thursday, Sept. 11 at the Wing Point Golf Course.

BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge High boys varsity golf team edged out their first opponent of the season Thursday, Sept. 11 at the Wing Point Golf Course.

They defeated the Eastside Catholic Crusaders 142-114.

Sam Warkentin led the Spartans in points, racking up 32 total.

Nate Boegl managed 24, while David Willbrock and Colin Campbell finished the day with 22 points each.

Spartan teammates Carter Kraus and Brooks Wallace both ended the day with 21 points.

The top EC points-earner was Ryan Fite, who managed 21 points total.
