Seattle Prep nets Senior Day spoiler

Seattle Prep showed no love for the Bainbridge Spartans as the visiting Panthers beat BHS 8-3 in varsity tennis.

BAINBRIDGE – Seattle Prep showed no love for the Bainbridge Spartans as the visiting Panthers beat BHS 8-3 in varsity tennis last week.

The Metro matchup was the last home match for the season for the Spartans, and also Senior Day.

Bainbridge enjoyed three solid wins in boys doubles and girls No. 1 doubles.

Spartan Coach Jennifer Anne Shorr reported that, unfortunately, a couple of Spartan girls could not play the match and Bainbridge was ultimately forced to default the No. 2 doubles match.

In girls No. 1 doubles, Samantha Jiang and Hayden Tutty of Bainbridge prevailed over Jessica Cary and Hailey Nelson of Prep, 6-3, 6-1.

In boys No. 1 doubles, the Spartans’ Jeremy Lipschutz and Eli Wagner triumphed over Alex Baldwin and Matteo Guillot de Suduiraut, 3-6, 6-4.

Aidan Sullivan and Maxwell Brown of Bainbridge won 6-1, 6-4 over Cooper Brethauer and Ryan Brunette in No. 2 boys doubles.
