SEATTLE – The BHS Spartan varsity tennis team lost a hard-fought match to Seattle Prep 8-3 late last week in Seattle.

Samantha Jiang posted a win for Bainbridge in girls singles and prevailed over Mary Pat Lee 6-4, 1-6, 6-3.

Fellow Spartan Lily Welch eclipsed McKenzie Frazier in girls singles 0-6, 7-6, 6-3.

Doubles action saw Bainbridge’s Eli Wagner and Jeremy Lipschutz top EC’s Alex Blattner and Matteo de Suider 7-6, 6-4.

Several other Spartan players and teams also had solid competitive matches in the Metro matchup.
