No snow day for BHS sporting events

The Bainbridge Spartans won’t let a little snow slow them down.

Bainbridge High Athletic Director Kaycee Taylor announced Friday morning that sports events planned for Friday would still be held.

Bainbridge schools canceled classes on Friday after a snowstorm hit the Puget Sound.

School officials waited until 10:30 a.m. Friday to determine if games scheduled at home and on the road would still be held. But with rain falling and area roads made much more passable, the decision was made to keep to the sports schedule as planned.

Here’s what’s on for tonight:

• Spartan boys C-team basketball vs. Olympic, 3:30 p.m. at Olympic High School. Private cars will depart BHS at 2 p.m.
