Golden Eagles bowl over the competition in Silverdale

SILVERDALE – The Bainbridge Island Golden Eagles Special Olympics bowling team competed in the southwest region bowling tournament at All Star Lanes in Silverdale on Sunday, Oct. 30, earning many medals and ribbons and outstanding performances.

“The competition was intense and the Golden Eagles bowlers rose to the occasion,” said team spokesman Kurt Nickel. “Well done and congratulations to all.”

Competing in team doubles were Jennifer Correa and Tanner Conrad, and Rebecca Nickel and Michael Wallace.

Competing in unified team doubles were Chis Marten and Norman “Tad” Marten (son and father duo).

Competing as singles were David Bartoldus, Kristina Emery, Ryan Kerr, Mike McLane, Jennifer Mullis, Steven Stovner, Barbara Sundquist, Andrew Garrett and Wyatt Weist.
